What Aerta Shift is
Aerta Shift is time & attendance software: clock in/out, breaks, shift patterns, and timesheets for your organization. It is not a payroll system, not an HR system, and not a scheduler or rota tool, it does not calculate or pay wages, file taxes, or store HR records beyond what's needed for time tracking. You're responsible for how you use timesheet data (for example, feeding it into your own payroll process).
Your account and organization
You need an account to use Aerta Shift, and your organization's Owner/Admin controls who has access and what role they hold. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for what happens under your account. Your organization is responsible for the accuracy of the time entries, corrections, and shift patterns it records, and for having the right to collect that data from the people on your team (for example, telling employees that clock-in/out times, and optionally GPS location, are being recorded).
Acceptable use
Don't use Aerta Shift to break the law, to store data you don't have the right to collect, to try to access another organization's data, or to disrupt or overload the service (for example, automated scraping or load testing without asking first). We can suspend an account that does this while we sort it out.
Billing and subscriptions
Starter, Professional, and Business are flat monthly plans with an included seat count, billed through Stripe, upgrade or downgrade any time from Account settings. Enterprise pricing and seat limits are agreed separately and billed the same way. If a payment fails, we'll retry and let you know, an organization that stays unpaid after a reasonable grace period moves to a restricted, read-only state rather than having its data deleted. Cancel any time from Account settings or the Stripe customer portal, we don't offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.
Your data
Your organization owns the data it puts into Aerta Shift, we're processing it on your behalf, not claiming it. See our privacy policy for what we collect, why, and how to request an export or deletion. Audit log entries (who corrected which time entry, when, and why) are the one exception, they're kept permanently and can't be edited or deleted, that's what makes them trustworthy as a record.
Service availability
We aim to keep Aerta Shift available and reliable, but we don't guarantee it will always be free of downtime, bugs, or errors. We'll do our best to fix problems promptly and to give notice of planned maintenance where we can.
Liability
Aerta Shift is provided as-is. To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (like lost profits or payroll disputes arising from data your team entered), and our total liability for any claim is limited to what your organization paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
Termination
You can cancel any time. We can suspend or terminate an account for acceptable-use violations, non-payment after a grace period, or if required by law, we'll try to give notice first except where that isn't possible or safe to do. On termination, your data is retained for a reasonable period in case of a payroll or legal dispute, then handled per our privacy policy's retention section.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change is material, we'll make a reasonable effort to let active organizations know before it takes effect. Continuing to use Aerta Shift after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
